"Why do you carry Moonpies? They are pure
Junk food."
Answer - We are a grocery store, not specifically a
health food store. We carry products that our customers want to buy, and
believe it or not, we sell a lot of moonpies.

"Can you
change the music you play? The classical music depresses
me."
Answer - This is a tricky subject. We get complaints no
matter what kind of music is playing, but long experience has shown us that
classical music seems to offend the least amount of people. This one
falls under the "you can't please all of the people all of the time"
header.

"Can you round all prices to the nearest 5 or 10
cents? I know the government will never get rid of the penny, but you
can!"
Answer - Many of our products are sold by the weight, so odd
penny amounts will come up no matter what unless you do not buy any produce,
bulk foods or deli items. Many of our buyers feel that items
sell better when they are priced to end in 9 because the price seems
lower. We have discussed changing our pricing but it does not seem like
the potential benefit (reducing change given out) outweighs the cost (reduced
sales).
